The girls love sitting in front of the computer together and watching home videos. This is one that I saw them watching and had to share. It's from April 2008. So sweet.

Squeezing in one last summer outing

We decided to go to the Richmond Childrens Museum one last time before our membership ran out and to do one more fun thing before school started. The girls LOVE that place. It's small compared to other childrens museums out there but it has enough to keep them entertained for a good couple of hours. Every time we go, we say, "Why don't we come here more often?"

Izzie Marie- Almost 3 Months

Well, since my mom is the only one on my side of the family who has seen Izzie, I thought I'd post some more recent pictures. She is just a little joy. She is sleeping great and almost never cries. She literally smiles whenever she is talked to and will coo back and forth with you. It's so fun. She just started kicking her little leggies when she gets excited. She's very patient with all of the attention that she gets. We all just can't get enough snuggles from her.

Independence Day

It's our tradition to start our 4th of July by going out to breakfast. It's always fun but is getting more challenging as our family grows. After breakfast, we checked out a park that we hadn't been to before and Izzie got to try a swing for the first time. I tried to teach her to pump her legs but she didn't quite get it. For dinner, we grilled burgers and then for fireworks, we went 5 minutes down the road into the next county where they are legal. Sammie was totally freaked out (a weird stage she's going through) and stayed in the car the whole time. Lexie was better, but still a little apprehensive.

We love the 4th of July. Happy Birthday America!

Blessing Day

The girls were so tired from hanging out at the beach with cousins, that they just crashed like this Saturday night. Sunday was Father's Day and the day that we blessed Izzie. It was really special to have her Grandpa and most of her uncles all there for it.
It was an absolutely beautiful sunny southern California day. It made me daydream of living there.

Disneyland Part 2

While at California Adventure, we caught the Pixar Toy Parade. We weren't expecting it, but every float that came out was squirting water. The girls were kind of freaked out by it and I was just kind of annoyed. I know, it's just water right? Yeah, but we were right in front trying to eat our lunch and it was like water was getting poured on us, not sprayed. Lexie hid under a blanket almost the whole time and Sammie turned her back. They didn't even get to see most of it. Oh, well. It was still fun. We'll know for next time.

We wore these kids out. They had tired feet and achy bodies.

We were SO hoping to meet Sleeping Beauty, but at least we met Belle, Pocahontas, and Ariel.

We went on It's a Small World and when we got off there was a crowd forming for a parade that was starting. That's right, it was Kobe. Talk about luck. This picture is not zoomed in. We were that close. Pretty cool.

East meets West

In June, we headed to California for a family reunion for James side of the family. It was a whirlwind of a trip. We just crammed so much into a week. It was really a treat for us to see Mom & Dad Kewish, all of the siblings, spouses, and cousins. We miss them so much and don't get to see them very often, so it was really great. In fact, I asked Sammie the other day what her favorite part of our trip was , thinking she'd say, "Disneyland", "Sea World", "the plane ride", "staying in hotels", or "the beach", but she said that her favorite part was playing with her cousins. So cute.

We drove by my old house and inconspicuously took a picture. Anybody remember this place?

It has been a crazy few months for our family. We have just had so much going on, so here is our attempt to try to catch you all up.

Sammie and James both celebrated birthdays. Sammie turned 5 and James turned 30! As you can see, I let Sammie decorate her own cake. It wasn't my original plan, but what the heck, it's HER birthday right?

We went on an adventure (as we call them) to the Chesterfield Berry Farm. They had the most beautiful strawberries. We only picked a few for the experience because it was so blazing hot. Since we had a baby in tow, we just filled a small basket and headed out. Before we left though, we played in the corn pit, since it was in the shade. We couldn't get the girls out. I think they liked that more than picking strawberries. We were finding corn in crazy places for days.

Isabelle "Izzie" Marie Kewish

Our little Izzie was born on April 27th, 2009 at 10:14 am. She weighed in at 8 lbs., 10 oz. and was 21 inches long. She has been such a great baby and loves all the attention that she gets from her big sisters. Here are some photos from the past week.
